Honestly, being a man who likes women, you look great as a brunette. So, why have such a delima & struggle trying to be blonde? For the past 10 years my lady has struggled with remaining a blonde as well. When she & I were younger (we have known each other since our freshman year in High School) she was a platinum blonde. When she and I got together at the age of 30 she was blonde but starting to color it often and it just literally fried her hair. She had a lot of split ends and frizz as a result of the dye process.

Now, since we are 40 she has a similar issue as yourself. Not so much grey (even though I catch her with tweasers plucking them out) as much as the inner shaft of her hair is brownish and the ends are more honey blonde. What she does is the same as the other poster who suggested more of high-lighting with blonde streaks. She wears her hair shoulder length and it really looks great.

And, I mean that... not just because I'm supposed to say it. Hope my story helps you some. Fortunately, at the age of 40 and having grey as a man is called "distinguished."
