hi krimsonmom!! let me start by saying that i am proud & grateful 4 all u guys have done 4 our country.  yes, it is frustrating how the insurance system works. so much red tape, at the expense of the patient's health & care. seems like a battle too, between the patient & the power of the insurance company.  i wish they would realize that we as patients are doing our best to be proactive by seeking help early to prevent late diagnosis which will cost them more money.  they do not recognize preventive measures but they will not even question any surgery or corrective care after the patient has suffered so much already.  any early care is either "considered not medically necessary" or just given meds which are just "band-aids" to the condition & not the solution.  

i am also so saddened that after all you guys have done 4 our country, insurance companies also see you as statistics or income-making source.  i hope they realize that if it wasn't for all of us, they would not be in business. after all, us paying our premiums every month is what keeps them afloat.  do they think they will survive if it wasn't for our being a subscriber to their company?  yes, we do need insurance coverage. but they should realize that they should do their part in ensuring that our trust in them should not have to end up in a tug-of-war.
