REALLY fed up!

SO... I called the doctor today, and told him exactly how I felt, in a very polite manner. I basically told him that I am unable to continue living my life like this any longer... especially when I can not go out and do the things I enjoy to. Feels like I am trapped inside of this "healthy looking 20 year old body" but inside I feel like I am about 80 years old and dying! He told me that " You do realize we will probably never get to the bottom of this right?" so I kindly replied, well if you cant get to the bottom of it, what do you expect me to do? and he said I will just have to keep doing what Im doing, and return to him if symptoms get worse, etc... Sometimes e specially now, I wish our health care system was like the US. I am now tempted to go to the US & be seen by a doctor there, I can not afford to do so.. but if it means someone is going to at least LOOK at me, even doing an exploratory which they will NOT do here, Im on board.. I cant do this, it is literally depressing me! I have no life.. and no one here seems to understand whats going on, and cant grasp the fact that I am so misserable and in so much pain & discomfort.. I would love to sleep for at least 4 hours a night.. rather than maybe 10 hours over the course of a week ...  Soon ready to throw in the towel, and not care like everyone here seems to be doing! :o(

Hey Kimberly, I just wanted to say keep ur head up and don't give up!!! I'm in the same boat as you, only difference im pregnant (i felt sooo drained, dizzy, like puking) I know your thinking well its normal your pregnant, but the thing is about a month before i became pregnant, I was having a nap in the middle of the day (as i always seem to need) and my husband tried to wake me up but couldn't. I was rushed to the hospital, long story short they said i had amnisea (spelling??) I was prescribed different vitamins like iron and so on, which seemed to work for a little bit but then stopped working. Till now about 6 months later i feel the same... Everytime i go in for a routine visit for my pregnancy to the Doctors, they say oh you feel like this because your pregnant! They pay no attention to the fact i apparently had amnisia 6 months ago. My husband was very worried about me and pushed the doctors as much as he can, but now that his Parents are telling him its just pregnancy, he basically won't listen to me. The lastest I was prescribed was a B12 shot once a week, which is totally not working!! So like you I am battling the Doctors, so I can have a life again! I cant even cook, or stand for longer then 10 minutes without feeling like I will faint. I get to go out maybe if im lucky once a week!!!  So please don't throw in the towel!!! searchh and keep searching for the right Doctor!!! They are out there somewhere!!! Best of luck!!!

I hope you feel better soon. I have lot of health problems too and doctors can't find out what is wrong with me. I can understand how you feel.

Would if you go to the ER?   Will they do more tests then?   exactly WHAT HAVE you been tested for?

The first time I experienced this in such a horrible unbearable way was in Sept. I went to the ER, was admitted right away I had a CT Scan, A LOT of blood work, Pee Test,  Dye Test,  Ultrasound, Internal Ultrasound, lots of Pap tests, X Rays, an X Ray where I had to drinka  chaulky milky substance and they placed something over my side and do the X Ray from there, I had my vitimin D level checked, I had a colonoscopy, Scope... yeah.. I had all of those done 4 or 5 times each. but the colon. only once.

ok.  but WHAT have you been tested FOR?   did they check for crohns disease, colitis, ulcers, hernia..  do you have heartburn all the time, which could irritate the esophagus.    Really, they have done a lot of tests on you.  But, there has to be a problem and they will eventually find it.    A friend of mine had similar issues (although i don't recall blood in the vomit... of course, you could be throwing up so much that it is just very irriated?!)... but she had many symptoms for years.. started in 8th grade.  they finally realized she had crohn's in 11th grade after it infected several feet of her intestines.   You just have to keep forging ahead and not give up.  have you seen a GI doctor?

If you are thinking about making a trip to the US to see a doctor, you need to search for one online and then send or explain to him your past medical history and set of symptoms- to make sure that when you get here, the doctor will actually be able to do something for you. If you were to make the trip, before getting connected with a physician, you may end up stuck in the US and and still not get help!  Find a doctor in the US, before coming here, and make sure that the doctor accepts you as a patient prior to you making the trip. The more medical Hx (History) you can provide to him-the better the chance of him being able to give you a Dx(diagnosis).

What did you say your vitamin D blood level is?

Well just to let you know USA is all its cracked up to be!  I live here and cant get treatment because I have no money.  You have to be well off to get medical help!  Hope you got money!

I think it is time for a new doctor and that your doc is a quack. docs like that i don't put up with anymore.
