I am a 30 year old female from Illinois.  I work at a Mcdonalds.   I have scoliosis and a limb length inequality, and have had it since spring of 1994.  I never had to wear a brace and have had nothing done to correct my scoliosis or leng length inequality for 15 years now.  They found out I had scoliosis when one day when I came home from Jr. High, my head was tilted to the right and my right ear was practicaly touching my right shoulder.  My mom immediately took me to the family's chiropractor.  They took xrays of my back, etc. and also had me lay on a table and they cracked it back into place.  I ended up going there 2-3 times a week for a month or two and each time they cracked each side of neck, worked on my back and tried to correct my leg length inequality, but I still have one leg that is appx 2 inches longer than the other.  I did not know then what the degree of curvature in my spine was and i still don't know now.  They almost were going to do surgery to correct my deformity, but decided not to because they thought I was too young at that time.  I have never had my back examined(xrayed)or leg length inequality looked at since 1994.  Should I be having this examined/Xrayed every year or so to check the degree of curvature?  if so what type of doctor should I go see?

 I wish the doctors tv show could ahve a segment or an entire show related to scoliosis.  I think not too many people know about this until it is too late for their child and they need surgery where as it could have been caught early, and maybe worn braces, etc.  I wish more states/schools or nationally mandates screenings for this like in the fifth or sixth grade.  They could take one day that they are in gym and do these screenings.

Sometimes while I am at work for 7-8 hour shifts or unloading truck at work I will get a sharp pain in the back of my left thigh. It usually makes it hard to stand up or walk for a while and gets better with sitting for awhile. 

Any ideas what this could be?
