Day 4...discouraged.

I  am on my 4th day of cycle 1 and I haven't seen the scale move. I'm 5'6 and weigh 141 lbs and am looking to lose about 10 lbs to get back to my pre-wedding weight. I have been reading several blogs talking about how people have already lost a couple of pounds or more just a few days in,  and I am feeling discouraged because I have not. I have been following the plan, drinking all of the water, eating the right portions of the right foods and working out 20 minutes a day. I know that these changes do not happen overnight, but I just wondered is anyone else experiencing this?

Since you have so little to loose I suspect it'll take awhile for it to start to come off.  I have 25 pounds to take off, I did not see a change in the scale until my 4th day.  Are you drinking your green tea?  Just checking ;-)!  Be patient it'll work it really will.  I was about to give up on the 5th days as I was starving and not loosing, things are looking up in 7 days I've lost 7 pounds obviously that was in three days.  Again, hang in there!  It WILL work!

Don't give up, the weight will come off eventually. In the meantime, you are taking care of your body by eating healthy foods. Just like Dr. Moreno said in the book, eventhough the scale might not move, think of the things that are improving inside. I don't have any health problems (besides being overweight) so I really hadn't thought much about how much the plan improves our internal functions. Whenever I get discouraged I just re-read that part of the book and it helps tremendously.

I agree with cowgirlup.... the less you have to lose the slower it comes off.  But YES, hang in there!  Are your clothes fitting differently (looser)?

I was in the same boat.  Over the last 3 months I have lost 11 pounds on the diet.  I only need to lose 10 more pounds.  The less you have to lose the slower the results.  I was encouraged by the fact that each week I was down about a half pound.  I figured it was better than adding a pound. :)   I ended up switching between Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 to keep the momentum.

Yes, keep it up. I did lose rapidly at first because I had 40 lbs. to lose. Now that I only have 15 to go it has slowed down a lot but in the mean time I have learnt how to eat healthier. I still check the scale every day and perhaps I shouldn't cause it can fluctuate back and forth within 3 lbs. This could become very discouraging but it helps me to review the previous day or so. Did I drink enough water, forget the lemon drink, drink the green tea, eat too many carbs, exercise enough, .......

I'm in the same boat. I'm 5'5 and normally Im around 145 pounds since I've had my daughter. I had her C-section, so I feel like it's been harder to lose weight, maybe it's all in my head. I started doing a class two days a week 4 weeks ago, it's an awesome class...instead of losing weight, when I started the 17 D.D, I was 150..I was soo shocked,  Im on day 4 now and Im down to 146, But I would like to be at 135. So I have 15 to 20 pounds I would like to lose, how fast is it going to come off?? Who knows, but I know Im tried of being tried of looking like this. So hang in there! We have a wonderful group around us of positive advise, comments, and uplifting suggestions:))

Don't panic! You're only on day 4...my scale didn't really show results until day 7.  I would try to weigh yourself less so you don't become obsessed.  Focus on eating and excercise not your weight at first.
