Help for my grandmother

My grandmother is 81 years old, she is in severe pain due to strange sores on her leg.  We have taken her to many doctors, none of which have a diagnosis.  Some of the sores are large and some small deep puss filled.  We are at our wits end and have tried everything from antiobiotics to sea salt soaks.  If anyone has any idea as to what this could be please email or blog.  She has terrible pain for the last nine months from this ..please help!

Have they tested for MRSA?

Exactly Sleep Tech! They need to culture her wounds. Basically, they use a q-tip and rub it on the sore. Getting drainage from the wound on to a q-tip and sending it to the lab to see what it "grows". There's really no doubt in my mind that your Grandmother developed cellulitis in her lower legs and the open sores made her vulnerable to "MRSA". This leads to recurrent and non-healing wounds. Her best avenue would be to go see a Doctor at a "Wound Center". I'm sure you could find one in your area.

CAN YOU POST A PICTURE OF WHAT THESE SORES LOOK LIKE. SHE MAY  HAVE WHAT MY MOM HAD. IF SO, I CAN ASK MY MOM WHAT SHE USED TO GET RID OF THE SORES.

My   grandmother has been tested fro MRSA, doesn't have it, nor  diabetes, and has had a biopsy for cellulitis.  We still have no idea what is wrong with her.  I have pictures of her wounds if anyone could tell me something about this disease.  The doctors here are baffled about it and I know there has to be someone out theere that knows something about this disease.

The puss is a sign of some sort of infection, if they swabbed it they should be able to tell what sort of antibiotic would help to clear up the infection.  Now the origion of the sores themselves I couldn't say.

I have added some pics to my profile, pretty much everything has come up NEG, NRSA, Diabetes,Cellulitis. Biopsys have been done,  We are still @ a dead end.  She, my granmother can't stand the pain ...she has rheumatory arithritis.  Could this have something to do with it?   Still in need of help!

Hmmmm, MRSA doesn't usually hurt, so it must be something else.  Someone on this site had a website for a painful disorder that caused sores, (Lesions) to pop up on the body, I will try to remember the name for you, maybe someone else remembers.  It had a warm fuzzy sort of name, someone wrote a blog on it, I'll try to remember  I have a terrible migraine coming on and finally broke down and took something, so maybe I can think of it tomorrow if no one else remembers before then.  I am so sorry for her.

Hello. It seems like your gran has a diabetes. I skimmed your comments and you gran is not a diabetic. Does the doctor prescribed a pain killer? Do not stop seeking medical attention. It would be the best to go to wound specialist. Help her to allay her pain by distracting her attention. You pay attention to what is she feeling now.
