I'm 28 yrs old with type 2 diabetes. I also have depression/anxiety/panic/agoraphobia. But my question is can my diabetes be causing my moods to be worse? In the last two weeks I have been sick with a stomach bug and a cold and I have been going through a low in my depression. Sometimes I feel angry at people who don't deserve it and who have done nothing but help me and they don't even have to be doing anything for me to be irriatated at them. Until I get to talk to my Dr. does anyone know if my diabetes could be causing this or do you think its just from being run down from being sick. I don't know and I guess it is possible that my meds aren't working as well as they should but why would they just quit working if that is it/

dear Diabetes, my mother was diabetic and she was extremely moody, one minute she would be nice the next thing you know she hated you. I think both your illness and your diabetes has everything to do with how you feel, you should work on your immune system it should help you feeling angry is something i know well i can snap at anything. It's terrible so i try to warn my husband and let him know "hey i'm really grouchy so please be aware" sometimes that helps. I also believe meds can make one irritable. GOOD UCK.
Yes dear if your diet is not right annd u are not under control sugar wise your moods will go up and down meet with a diabetic counselor to do meal planning it works along with stress relaxation it all works togetgether.
Hi, I can relate to what you are going through except the diabetes. Completely. The only difference otherwise is I have hyperparathyroidism. I have other issues that cause my mood to break, but the past couple weeks my mood changes so fast I dont have time to take a med to block it. That's aside from my other mood stabilizers. I am carrying around medication now because I could be anywhere and it could happen. i can't answer your questions, but can relate and wanted you to know you aren't alone in this.

try a this when feeling down set the the time for 5min and do something you have not done in a while[ read a book, sit outside] them later and more time I have to do use this when is have panic attacks,or pick on my self . Please don't give up hope I believe YOU can do i.!!!!!!!!!!I have come a long way since 2002.
