Since early May, I have suffered with somewhat of a rash that has made such a nuisance of my life that has required 2 visits to the ER for itching and splotchy at best to describe them red areas on various parts of my arms, legs, and hands. Some days I will find a welp on the back ofmy neck at the base of my hairline, and between my fingers. Nothing that runs or as the dermatologist stated could not be passed onto others by physical contact. Never on my trunk or thank goodness genital area, and I have been prescribed a week's worth of Bactrum and Prednizone that had dried it up but other areas broke out after that. I was told to take over the counter 1% Hydrocortizone cream that gives limited relief, and now I use as last prescribed the other day .005% Fluocinonide cream that I am to take twice a day. It's frustrating enough that unfortunately I am unemployed without health insurance and much money has been spent trying to alleviate this problem and the only time I get real relief is when I take a bath with unscented Dove Soap with a couple of capfuls of bleach mixed in. I know about oatmeal, but I haven't tried that yet, and I am really frustrated, when I came in on the tail end of the segment about home remedies I became intrigued and went to the website for possible remedies.

Have you seen a dermatologist?
Melissa.
I also use to break out kind of like what you are talking about, and like you I would end up in the ER,given steroids, cream and a soak [domboro] That may not be exactly how its spelled, but its close.I know that is what really worked for me and you can buy it over the counter. It may not be what you need but you could at least ask the Dr.,and pharmasist about it.We never even foundout what caused mine, like I said that was years ago,..see ya @good luck
did you ever think of scabies? might be worth it to check out :)
Yes I have seen a dermatologist, and he ruled out scabies because in one of my previous visits to the ER a P.A. suggested such and then the Dr on call stated that didn't seem like it based on his looking at the areas, still frustrating because only bothers me 1st thing in the morning and at night before retiring to bed and only on arms hands legs and ankles periodically wish i could get some more bactrim and prednizone
hAVE YOU BEEN NERVOUS LATLEY,i DO KNOW THAT CAN PLAY A BIG PART IN ALL SORTS OF THINGS THAT HAPPEN TO US.i ALSO KNOW HOW GOOD AND QUICK THE PREDISONE WORKS,ITS A FAST FIX,BUT NOT A PERMANT ONE,MY DR.SAYS THATS NOT ADRUG TO TAKE FOR LONG PERIODS AT A TIME.i HAVE HAD TO TAKE IT FOR ALL SORTS OF PROBLEMS,BUT IT WAS USUALLY A MEGA DOSE PACK.THATS WHERE YOU CUT YOURSELF DOWN FROM IT 1 PILL A DAY,i DIDN'T EXPLAIN THAT TO YOU TO MAKE MYSELF SOUND SMART,BUT PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE SOME OF THE ONES WE DO DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT THAT IS.i WOULD TRY NOT TO WORRY TOO MUCH ABOUT IT AND DO NOT SCRATCH IT.i HAVE TO ALSO WOUNDER HAVE YOU CHANGED ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL HYGEIN PRODUCTS OR LAUNDRY DETERGENT,ANYTHING LIKE THAT,YOU COULD JUST HAVE AN ALERGY?????ITS WORTH THINKING BACK ON THAT TO SEE IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY CHANGES.I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!JAMIE
First of all, I wish a healthy as much as possible and happy July 4th! Second to all of you that have responded with kind words and suggestions regarding my condition, I APPRECIATE IT immensly. It's just the frustration of not clearing up totally and not knowing why. To JamieWilliams, in answer to your questions, yes the stress levels have been off the meter for the last several months, one argurment from being homeless, lost of self-conidence because of being unemployed for almost 3 years, feeling lack of self-worth, and also change in laundry habits having to use public laundramat, something I've not hd to do in over 3 years. So of course all points you made can be very valid. Thank you for your interest considering the problems you are experiencing and you taking the time to try to help me, and once again to all of you Thank You!
once Fluocinonide cream 0.05% applied sparingly clears up for a day and then back or another area such as base of neck, never trunk nor genitals as of yet
Hello J,[thats easier,LOL] First of all let me say HAPPY JULY 4_th.!!!! I am so sorry to hear about all that you are going thru.I will pray for you many times.!!! Your problems really break my heart,I wish there was something I could do to help you,but as you well know we hardly have alot of control over what can happen to us [in a split secound],so we sure can't control others. My heart goes out to you and I want you to know that...I know from my past skin problems that yours could very well be a combo of all you are going thru in your life.I am no Dr.and I feel that is what you really need,or maby even a Health Department in your area.Have you checked on that? They will also make sure you get the meds you need.Thank you for the COMPLIMENT you gave me,but I really don't feel I deserve it !!!! I will be here if you need to talk.PLEASE take care of yourself as best you can and don't forget I will be praying for you.....God Bless You!!!Jamie
