About Me
Married 32 yrs. Husband has survived brain tumor (Pituitary adenoma-craniotomy)
I was finally diagnosed: March 2009 with HyperParaThyroidism.
Lupus 2005,
SO tired of feeling sick & tired!
Never smoked, or did drugs, don't drink. I was known as the vitamin lady! Exercised like a nut!
Was once skinny, and now overwhelmed and fat!
Vitamin D very low, because of the parathyroid tumor.
On 3 different high blood pressure meds. Want my old body back, want my perky super (can run circles around anyone on my worst day) energy level back! Lost my 40's due to this tumor. Polycystic overies, premature ovarian failure (menopause at 43). Osteopenia, hypercalcemia, PTH 174.9, calcium 10.5.
Dizzy, and turn red, just feeding my kitties. Crazy! Way too old at 51. My grandfather will be 100, Feb 4th, and I can't keep up with him, I start to breathe heavy and need my inhaler! LOL He will pick up his walker and run with it!
I'm watching my hands swell up, and it's like turning into the incredible hulk. So sad (down right depressing). Once painted murals for school and volunteered my Art work, and can barely type with 2 fingers. Forget playing the piano, those days are gone! Brain is foggy and can't remember from 1 room to the next, and just go totally blank, can't even try to find anything that I was thinking of, to figure out what it was I had a thought to do.....?
Pain in back----kidneys? UGH! Dizzy just sitting, had a thought and lost it......very frusrating. Eyes twitching, eyesight going (Glaucoma July 2009). Way to old.
Wish I could find my old pageant photo, so you could see what I mean. My eyelids are now swelled up! Not who I was, don't like what I have turned into. This is not funny....
My mother is 74, and is in better health, than I am. We used to do Curves together 3-4 x's a week for an entire year, I kept gaining weight! Struggled to keep under 200 lbs. Just crazy.
My heels hurt so bad, and my knees want to do their own thing, I'm afraid I'll hurt myself worse than I'm already feeling.
Need surgery to remove the parathyroid tumor, but don't have any medical insurance! I'm so caught in a Catch-22, I can't get out of my own way!
Please help.
