Ingrown Toenail

Good Day all the way from South Africa

I recently watched an episode on a procedure of a doctor removing an ingrown toe nail, bu first numbing the toe then using some equipment to cut back into the nailbed and then clipping off the ingrown part of the nail. What is the procedure called for that whole operation?

Can't hear clearly what the Doctor calls the procedure. This is what i hear:

Chemical fedal mytral sectomy (my spelling could be wrong)

Can you give me the correct spelling

I believe the procedure you are asking about is called Chemical Phenol Matrixectomy. Please let me know if this is correct.
