TRACTION DEVICE

I am still waiting for an appointment to see the Neuro Surgeon,but I went to the Chiropractor today for my message while I was there he gave me a neck traction device and wants me to use it over the weekend for 3 minutes each time.He did tell me that if it caused me more pain to stop useing it.I will NOT use it if I do have MORE PAIN.I am haveing enough of that now.I feel like if I am not going to the Dr. or the Chiropractor then all I do is lay proped up in my bed with either heat,ice,or the tens unit on and to be honest NOTHING seems to be helping.I hate taing the pain pills so most of the time I don't,when I do the pain is already so bad that they don't work as well as they should.I haven't had to take anything for pain since I got the pain pump and I was so very proud of that,I guess I was proud because I had been on pain pills for so many years before and in so MUCH PAIN I really felt that I had accompolished a great feat by not having to take ANYTHING and NOT HURTING in my lower back.Now I feel like I am going backwards,That really makes me MAD !!!!!

Thanks Ken,To be honest I m kind of afraid to use it.The Dr.put me in it yesterday to show me how to do it,but for some reason I don't feel like its in my best intreast to use it.I will do it again today though at least once more,its just that I have a really hard time laying flat and thats what your suppose to do .I guess I can do that ,its only 3 minutes,I don't know why I have a bad feeling.Anyway thanks for your comment and have a great day!!!!..Jamie

Jamie I can understand ur feelings, I felt the same way when my podiatris wanted me to wear a boot cast everyday which really didn't work with my spondyloaropathy, I really should have stopped wearing it sooner so now my leg that wasn't giving me problems is screwed up now. Just use ur best judgement my friend

Thats what I am doing Ken,the problem with that is sometimes I don't trust my own judgement LOL.But I am Good at thinking things thru before I act,which I never done when I was younger.I think alot of us didn't think thru things back then but as we get older and wiser we learn to do that,of course some of us go thru alot of hard knocks in life before we get wise enough to do too much thinking thr,I know I did.I hope your feeling better than you were a few days ago,Keep me informed on how you are OK>>>>>>>Jamie
