I am a new Mom for the first time at age 38! My baby boy is named Jackson he is going on 5mths . Currently life is really all about the wonder of having such a beautiful surprise come into my life.

I love my job but at the same time am dreading going back and missing all the little things he learns throughout the day.

What I love about life is that it is constantly changing whether we want it to or not and at the same time it is also sometimes what I dislike most about life. My hope is that as it changes I grow with the passing of time and do not become stagnant. My friends are the rocks in my life, I am blessed to have an incredible circle around me that I can always count on.

I love gardening and collecting orchids, photography, and working with animals.

The one thing I worry about is that I have the connective tissue disorder Ehlers- Danlos Syndrome. I have hypermobility of my joints, tendons and ligaments. This is becoming more of a problem as I age due to the loss of collagen production as we age. I have had a spinal fusion, and am getting ready to have a shoulder surgery to shorten the tendons and ligaments there due to instability. I can feel one of my knees and my hips becoming more painful over the last year. My concern is that I will contiually have to be having something worked on as the joints deteriorate. It is a fairly painful condition that closely resembles Fibrommyalgia in the fact that it causes wide spread body pain and tenderness as the muscles work overtime trying to keep the joints in the sockets.

I may have Ehlers but it doesn't have me. I am going to make sure I continue to live as rich and full a life as I can, it certainly helps to keep active and my new little one will certainly keep me up and running.
