Ive been diagnosed with fybromyalgia, a shourmens kyphosis of the thoratic spine and three buldging disks of the lower lumbar spine. i have been threw phsyical theropy 5 times and have also had trigger point injections 25+ of them, that were failed two hours after the procedure. this was several months ago.
now my dr is completly refusing to perscribe any pain medication for my really terrible days. and is recomending that i get a nerve block done. I have researched this and have found a studie that states that a nerve block will most likly not work if trigger point injections didnt work, this is eather a epidural or radio frequincy nerve block.
the trigger point injections had put me into savere pain for two months with not on day of releif, and im haveing the same pain now for a week straight.
i need someone with some experiance with this to give me some help on how to talk to my dr, or different options to look into.

I can relate to so much of what you are saying, my pain was so sever resulting in spinal surgery and disc removal however the pain remained. Trigger point injections never helped me, I cannot take vicodin, dilated, or valium so I use ice, heat and I swim. Not really swim, I get in the water where my body can stretch without pressure. My discs can get relief with separation causing oxygen to get between the discs and that reduces some pain. Breathing exercises and yoga (light easy yoga) and serenity help me enough to accept my pain and move through it. I hope this helps.
sounds like you need a new doctors..have you talked about medical marijuana...I think that is my next step..I have been to numerous doctors but keep coming back to my family doc..she is an awesome doc..I have fibro and RA..I sweat all the time...I am in pain 24/7...I wish the doctors would do a show on fibro...so we could learn more
