Good morning! I couldn't resist inserting this picture, because I can look back on it, and remind myself how truly unattractive smoking is. Well, today I can honestly say that, perhaps for the first time ever, I'm proud to be a quitter! I'm a bit shakey, and worried that I won't make it, but that's to be expected I guess. I have my support friends all in my contact list of my cell, and GETQUIT's number in there too, which is the helpline for Chantix.
Hey, if I have to take it one minute at a time sometimes, that's what I'll do!
How are you lovely people doing this morning?

Congrats!!!!!!just like weight loss quitting smoking is 1 day,(or sometimes 1 hour @ a time) :)
Victory is ssoooo sweet!!!
Thanks, skinnygirl! It's been 13 hrs 44 mns since I've quit. I actually feel quite good. There are some moments I think about it like a default, but then I remember (1) I'm a quitter, and (2) I don't have any on me, or a lighter or matches. OH MAN - This morning when I first got in the car I noticed a pack left in there with about FOUR cigarettes still in it. I didn't even think about, didn't allow one second of debate to cross my mind. I put it in a bag of trash I had there and dropped it off at the corner 7-11. :D My one really proud moment. Before I might have thought, "Jeez, it's only the first day, what harm could one cigarette really do?
