First Day Finally

Took 13 days to get the book, was very frustrated especially since UPS had it 30 miles away from my home for 11 days!!!!  What is up with them???  I read it and made a weeks menu and a shopping list.  Then had emergencies for two days in a row and could not go grocery shopping.  Did would I could at home but officially started TODAY!

I am STARVING!  Have not eaten anything I am not supposed to, been drinking green tea and water.  Had my water with lemon this morning.  STARVING!  At least the food tastes good and is something I am willing to eat.  Hate diets when it is something you would never in a hundred years consume.  It feels like it took forever to get to start, don't think my motivation was lessened by the waiting probably just the opposite because I was dying to get the book. 

Brought it to work and am rereading parts.  Want to understand it as best as I can. 

So here goes, good luck everybody, hope it works like it says it will.

I had a problem with being really hungry so I switched my dinner for breakfast and my breakfast with dinner. It really helped since I really need a lot to get fueled up in the morning ( heartier) and with this cold and snow especially.  I completely relate

Hi, 

Great you have your book.  I'm on cycle two.  The first 3 days I starved.  After the first week it is so much better.  In fact, I have to force myself to eat now.  I've never had that problem before. :-) Feels great.  Good Luck!

Completely understand the starving part. Currently on day 4 and as the days pass I am getting stronger but find the weekend hard. Try reading or some other activity to get your mind off your hunger, that seems to work for me. Good luck

The reading does really help.  At work it is a lot easier also cause I am busy and don't have time to think about it.  The issue is at night home with triplet 13 month olds, we are stuck holding and entertaining and spend a lot of time being pretty bored just feeding babies and getting them to sleep, etc.  This is my hardest time because I cannot do anything else, my hands are always full and because I am bored I want to snack something awful.  This is when I fight the most with myself, it is also how I put on 21 lbs over the last year LOL.  I am down four lbs so at least I keep telling myself, I haven't cheated today why ruin that, keep that as my mantra and it has really helped.  My other issue is horrible headaches, probably caffeine withdrawals, it will eventually get better.
