obesity

Doctors and health experts all led us to believe that the cause for the obesity epidemic are related to foods (fat, carbs, sugar, etc.) when they should be focusing on the drinks (juice, milk, water, soda, beer, etc).  This epidemic can be trace back to the invention of the refrigerator, for those who remember about the ice box (chest) and where the name came from and purpose it serve.  You will realize that the ice box meant to store foods so foods won't go bad as quick.   As the refrigerator improve, we get accustom to cold.  Cold mean store and heat mean burn. You can't burn fat in a cold oven, period.  In the 1980, I still remember when you need ice to chill your drink, you use the ice tray fill with water and wait till it freeze.  Now a day even when you go to an authentic Chinese restaurant and they serve you "hot" tea, you ask for "ice" tea instead.  Refrigerator these day have ice maker built in which mean ice on demand as though the water dispenser is not cold enough.  When you wash dishes, why use hot water instead of cold water because cold water will freeze the oil and sugar while hot water breaks it up.  As you eat a greasy burger and chase it down with a cold beverages; the oil and sugar freezes on the esophagus wall as the body adsorb the oil and sugar into the bloodstream the extra oil go directly to the heart arteries.  Guess what is the # killer in America, heart disease.  Science does not change whether it is outside or inside the body.

I only eat healthy and water is my drink of choice.  I should be drinking hot water instead of cold?

I personally think I eat right.  Fuits, vegtables very little greasy foods, sugary drinks and I don't like carbinated drinks and yet I weight 230 and I am only 5 ft 2 in. tall.  I read that the microwave (which I have been using to cook a lot of our dinners from scratch) distroys quite a few of the nutrients in vegetables and meats.  I don't know if this is true or not.  But to be on the safe side I am using a steamer to cook our vegtables and other things even though they take longer.  Only time will tell if this is a better way to cook.  I know other countries have been doing this for years and are thinner so there must be something to steaming that we Americans are just disovering or maybe rediscovering.  I don't think the refrig is a bad thing personally.  I do agree with you though on the fast food.  Some of the fast food chains may put things in there meat to make it last longer or to taste better that probably affect our bodies.  Of course drinking soda doesn't help the situation either.  My doctor can't figure out why I am over weight so I have an apointment with a nutritionist to find out what foods make me fat and which ones don't for my body.  I am so looking forward to this.

It is not the foodsthat cause obesity. it is the temperature of the drink.  If I ask you to pour oil down the drain and then ask you to flush the drain with ice water waht happen?  The oil will freeze but if I ask you to flush the drain with hot water then the oil breaks up.  It is science. The oil is not an issue when you use hat water.
