I have been dealing with some itchy red bumps and dryness on my chin and around my nose all winter. It crops up on occasion though I haven’t had it in a few years. My doctor gave me Elidel but it doesn’t seem to be working this time. I’m wondering if it really is eczema or some other disorder. My skin has been really sensitive lately and I have had to switch to special cleansers and creams to keep my skin from breaking out in those red bumps and dryness. It is difficult because I need something that is catered to sensitive skin but also can deal with the dryness, and sensitive skin moisturizers don’t tend to be very moisturizing. Anyone else with this problem and what can I do about it? I have thought about going to a dermatologist but everytime I try to book an appointment they say that they aren’t taking any more patients or the waiting list is a year long and I don’t know if I will have my skin problem by then. I also am interested in an exfoliant that is for sensitive skin. I need it to get that dry, dead skin off my face but I haven’t found an exfoliant that doesn’t irritate my skin.
