Vision correction surgery has come so far in the past 20 years! I’ve had such bad eyesight since I was 7 (that’s when it was found out anyway), that without my glasses or contacts, I can’t function! These types of shows interest me and are quite informative.

i watched the episode about the eye and they are right you dont have to be old to have cataracts but they kept refering to 40’s or 50’s! im only 26 and ive had mine for years and yes it is getting worst, i never wore glasses till i was about 16 and even then i used them once in awhile but now i cant seem to see with out them. even recently with my glasses its getting a little blurry. but i cant afford the surgury so i dont know what to do, the doctor told me to get it done over 4 yrs ago, but i still cant afford it. =(

If you can replace the lens during cataract surgery, can this procedure also be used with a diagnosis of Macular Degeneration?

Doesn’t Macular Degernation have to do with the muscles that control the focus of the lens? Or is that the hardening of the lens…
I just wish I could have this procedure to fix my eyes. Mine are so bad it costs around 400 dollars to get one year’s supply of contact lenses.

I was so lucky when it comes to my eyes.

I just want to send out a prayer for everyone that has lost their sight do to illnesses of all kinds and hope there is more hope for all of you down the road.
