Come on! Where are the parents? Get rid of the video games, computer, and junk food. Did you really need to go on national television for the world to see how dumb you are as a parent? It is easy to see who controls your household. Be a parent and set ground rules.

As for the doctors, why reward this child with another video game? If he can run inside with a video game, he can run outside.

I don’t disagree with the solution to this as far as it went. However, the mother of that child looked to me as if she also either had an eating disorder or had something that resulted in catastrophic weight loss. Her clothes were baggy on her, and the skin on her face was taut. She also appears to have had some sort of cosmetic dentistry. If she doesn’t have an eating disorder herself, I’d be very surprised. I would have loved to see the Docs take this on as a family solution instead of just singling out the child.

Good observation and I agree that the mother looked as if she may have had some medical problems of her own. I guess we all have different ways of dealing with situations and it is good to hear other opinions such as yours. Thank you.

At the age of 11, the parents still have 100% + control at what that boy puts into his mouth. The parents are the ones doing the shopping and bringing the food into the house. Make wiser choices parents and be good role models.
