you said that magots only eat dead flesh, i had a dog with pups they were two weeks old, nursing, their eyes weren’t open so checked, opened one eye and i could see the magots inside the head, my finger went in the skull of one, another you could see them crawling under the skin in the belly and so on, had to have them put tosleep. saved one. they were eating and alive no dead tissue or sores . they were being eaten alive.
just wanted to know what you thought
Thanks

ok not much grosses me out but this did .IO don’t know but when it comes to dogs and hear something like this , it upsets me.What did the vet say about this. There had to be something wrong with the puppies. OMG .Poor things

no there was nothing wrong with them they were perfectly healthy before that. vet said that the hatched larva must have crawled into the moist area around the eyes. I was as shocked as you. it wasnt’ summer it was a clean enviorment. the larva must have been around the edge of the shed is all they could figure out
