I just saw the previews for tomorrows show, and I am so excited to see it. Especially with the vaccine debate on this board that has been going on for so long. It looks like the doctors even get into a heated debate about it.

I am just mortified listening to this women. She had 4 children with autsim and yet she wanted TYPICAL CHILDREN. What is a typical child??? If you cant handle the 4 you have you should have NEVER had any more children. I came from a large family 10 .. all TYPICAL according to her.. Ughhh I just heard she is pregnant AGAIN.

I usually don’t make comments about things I see on TV, but the couple with the autistic kids really make me mad. How selfish of them to keep having kids when they know they could have another autistic kid. If they wanted more kids,they could have adopted. But really – they should have stopped after they had the 2nd autistic kid. I can’t even imagine how hard it must be to have just on autistic kid. I guess I am always surprised on how selfish people really are.

I can only echo what previous posters have said. This couple is extremely irresponsible for continuing to have children after the first 2 were diagnosed with autism. The woman even admitted that part of their motivation for having “typical” children was to have someone who could care for their autistic children after they were gone. What a horrible reason to give birth. Those “typical” children should feel extremely resentful towards their parents when they are old enough to realize this. The one doctor referred to this couple as “saints”. No, they aren’t “saints” they are monsters to continue to have child after child once they knew they had a much higher than average risk of having children with autism.

There was an early comment on the show regarding autistic children at church. The church I was a member of 5yrs ago had a similair problem, so we stated a resource Sunday School class and know have many children and adults with disibilities from autism to downs syndrome and more. Church and the christian community should show love to all families.
