Asian Inspired Kale Wrapped Salmon

4 pieces Salmon (8 oz. approx)

4 Large Leaves of Kale

1/2 cup Bragg’s Liquid Amino’s

1/2 cup Mirin or Rice Wine

1/2 cup Rice Wine Vinegar

1 tsp. Red Pepper Flake

1 tbsp. Sesame Seeds, pan toasted for a few seconds

1 tbsp. Blue Agave

1 tbsp. Ginger, Minced

1 tbsp. Garlic, Minced


Combine bragg’s, Mirin, vinegar, sesame seeds, agave,
ginger, garlic, and red pepper flake.  Whisk Well.  Pour over salmon and
marinate for minimum of 15 minutes, maximum overnight.


 Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water to a boil.  Add the kale and cook, just until tender and
turns a brilliant green.  Remove from
boiling water and put directly in an ice bath to chill.  Once kale is chilled, drain and squeeze all
excess liquid from it.


Take marinating fish and wrap each piece in kale,
leaving the ends out so you can see a contrast of pink and green. 


Heat 2 non stick skillets to very high heat with just
a little canola spray in the bottom of them.  Pan sear each piece of Salmon until golden and crisp on each side. 


Transfer to a parchment lined baking sheet.  Spoon A LITTLE BIT of the marinade over the
fish.  Roast in the oven for 12-15
minutes at 350 degrees until Salmon is fully cooked.


chill or serve immediately.  Can be garnished with Julienned Red Peppers.
