I am currently taking Gabapentin 800mg. for MS the morning after I take them I have this very nasty taste in my mouth and thick phlegm that normal?

I take it 3 times a day, at 300 mg. but never had that problem. I have only had the nasty taste when I don’t take it with enough to drink. That might be your problem.

I have a concern that I think should be looked into by the media…somewhere, somehow. My daughter is an ER nurse at California Hospital in LA.

Last night (and other nights) Saturday August 15, 2009 there was an event like other events that are sometimes 3 days sometimes 2 or maybe 1. While I don’t attend these Raves..(a longtime dirty word for most dance music promoters) .they have terrible outcomes = DEATH. Last night at least 4 kids died…they come into the hospital and because of high fevers 106 they have to be packed with ice…it’s an expensive procedure for the hospital.

This has been happening either from drugs (they are on E)and/or alcohol. But I’ve never seen any reports about such things happening. They happen often. Much of the hospital information is confidential and cannot be shared.

Some of these young people come in w/o identification. They die and then their bodies go to the morgue.

While I know this has been going on for at least 10 years and the police dept. has to deal with the crowds. One girl mentioned in a blog that 90% of the people are on E.

Is anyone doing anything about this phenomenon?

The hospital must keep things in confidence as the doctors and nurses don’t want to lose their licenses. I suppose the parents of these young people don’t say anything either as they don’t want people to know that their child died from a drug overdose or reaction.

More than once, I hate to count, patients arrive in the ER who have spiked temps of 106. These are young kids who are 16 or 17 years old. The nurses have to call the parents to come get the kids if they live. The kids fall at the Rave and the paramedics take them to the ER, again, and again and again. Then these young kids die….from what ECTASY.

Why doesn’t someone in LA look into this? I don’t know who to contact but I’ll circulate this to the Mayor’s office, maybe some TV show…

Does the public or parents know what happens at these Raves? Who is responsible for what goes on their or are they thought to be legitimate concerts?
