I had no idea these things were widely available on the internet.

Like anything, the negatives are for those who ‘over do’ or are weak minded enough to get addicted. It’s sad that these kids are conditioned or are situations where they abuse drugs (and any other thing like the internet & social websites, gangs, sex, etc)

Me and some friends have tried these things recreationally and don’t have a problem. I suppose we’re then minority and very lucky that we don’t get addicted or NEED these things all the time. It’s more of a choice for us and randomly used like alcohol, pornography, theme parks, the beach, hiking, watching games, playing sports, etc.

Though I’m not a fan of heroin, I know of people who use it about 3, 4, or 5 times a year. I’ve tried the rectal cocaine thing, it wasn’t for me. One of the females I know tried cocaine vaginally, she didn’t like it. For us, these drugs are no more addictive than Krispy Kreme doughnuts, all you can eat places or pornography or religion or sappy Oprah produced TV shows.

All can be abused.

I guess we’re that RARE minority.

I can relate to these topics. As a recovering alcoholic it was difficult to watch people go thru withdrawel. Sadly, I’ve been there done that x3. (I guess I am just a slow learner). My heart goes out to them as well a sincere hope they get it the first time. Recovery is possible- in about 2 months I will have been sober 4 years. As the slogan goes “One day at a time”.

I strongly believe that they should pull sites off the internet that deal with making drugs and what not because it is way to easy to assess this info and it gets into the wrong persons hands it is very deadly. I also strongly believe that this kind of crap being posted on the internet is a bad example on kids and teenagers. The one site they showed today was posted by a police department in the states to show you what to look for in a meth lab but still it shouldn’t be posted. I believe if anyone wants to do drugs they might as well just take a gun to there head and get it over with it would be alot faster and easier.

I agree that this is very shocking. Plus, I’m amazed that the kids now a days are this creative. We can’t shelter our kids. All we can do is educate and hopefully guide them in the right direction. Come on, lets look at ourselves. In the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and even now who didn’t make a special batch of brownies? who hasn’t gone to a party and did this we are not suppose to do? We did and so are they. The only thing we can do is talk and educate our kids. Take part in their lives, don’t sit on the side lines. Lets teach them self respect and hard work.
The ads on the internet should stay there. If we take those websites down what would be next? The internet is a source. A source of many things not just drugs.

I agree the internet is a source but not for drugs. You can educate people without the internet. Meth used in the wrong way can blow a place sky high never mind there brains out of there head. We may not be able to shelter our kids but you can put a block on those types of websites.

I agree you can educate without the internet, but the libraries are not open 24 hrs a day. So if wanted to learn how to change your tire on your car and you used the internet to do so. What if you did so successfully? Then again what if you drove home and the tire fell off and took a life. What then? Do we take off how to change the tire off the internet? Who is going govern what is good and bad? You? Me? O yeah lets have the government tell us what we need to learn and how.
Why would you want to shelter a child? Give them all the information they want. That gives them the power to make an educated decision, a choice for the good and bad.

there is a big difference between changing a tire and making drugs. you take a kid for instance that doesn’t no different and they look up meth and they do it your going to end up with a dead child. You don’t need a library to educate on drugs either. All you have to do is take them to a grave yard or take them to a hospital they will get the idea right there that it is dangerous. How often does a tire fall off and kill someone not very often. Drugs are used and made everyday. I am not saying take everything off the internet just things that are against the law off cause you can educate other ways with out a computer or a book. In the case of drugs you just explain what drugs can do to your boday and the after math of it if you don’t quit. I believe they should not put on the internet HOW TO MAKE Drugs like the ingrediants they use to make the crap but the negitive side of it like what it does to you if you do it and where you will end up if you do it or don’t quit the habit.

I disagree that those who get addicted to drugs are weak minded. Rush Limbaugh will tell you otherwise, it seems. It looks like some people’s nervous systems are such that they can get addicted easy. I’ve taken Vicodin for pain, and didn’t get addicted, but some have a terrible time with getting off it.

The internet having Meth & other synthetic drug recipes is disturbing, but what can you do? If they ban such info on US servers it will just be moved to foreign servers.
