About Me
I am a 53 year old retired nurse, due to disability from diagnosis of: avascular necrosis, fibromyagia, and discoid lupus.
I have always enjoyed being a nurse and love taking care of people at this time I am taking care of my sister who was diagnosed with breast cancer in October and has had a bilateral mastectomy. Prior to that I took care of a friend of our family that I had known for 41 years, he had emphysema and was in a SNF where I visited him on a daily basis. Over the last weekend of his life he rapidly acquired leukemia and died with in 3 days.
The last thing I have purchased for a friend was medication which they could not afford.

Hi there. I work in the health care field. I'd just like to thank you so much for being a nurse! I work in the Admitting Dept in my hospital. I see only a glimpse of what it must be like actually working with patients. When some of the patients tell me a bit about what's going on, or ask me questions about their procedure. I can't do very much except advise them to talk to the nurse when they get to the department they are going to. I see the fear in so many eyes, of the patient's and the families. I just wish I could reach out and give all of them a hug.
I applaud you for all the work you have done with the patient's and their families. I'd bet it wasn't always an easy time. But thank you!!!
