I had a good PT workout tonight. Worked on arms and exercises for my knee. It is so much easier in the pool. With my messed up knee, there is no way I could do lunges on land, but lunges in the pool are much easier to do. At the time it doesn't feel like I'm working hard, but I am really feeling it tonight in my stomach (from tightening while doing the exercises) and in my legs and butt. Very happy. I love the pool. Hopefully by next month I'll be able to sign up for water aerobics.
My insurance has approved only 6 sessions. :-( So, I will probably join the hospital's pool program and start that at the end of this month or in Feb.
Anyway, I love working out in the pool. It's a good way to strengthen my leg muscles and allow me to ease into a land, weight-bearing program.

Good Morning,The exercise part of this plan has probably been my biggest challenge.I love to walk so I can use the treadmill while the weather is bad but I love to be outside.I feel I have two left feet for some of exercises videos I have but I am going to keep trying to get it right.(It serves as comic relief for my family if nothing else.lol)The pool is a great way to condition without the strain on your knee.I'm glad you have that available to you.We can do this.
Thanks, Debbie. This will be the last week that I'll have PT approved by my insurance company so I'll have to make a decision on which pool to join. One good thing about exercising at home is you don't have to be perfect at it when you first start. I'm sure I look a bit silly doing some of my workout DVDs too.
