So embarrassed

Dear Drs.

I have been diagnosed with psoriasis.  It is on my hands, elbows, heel and toes.  Since I work with people all day they see my hands and it is very upsetting to me.  They are red, scaley, flacky, sometimes the skin is broke open because it gets itchy and then it looks real ugly.  I have used all of the over the counter lotions, tried some really weird concoctions that friends have raved about, and of course, used several mediations that my doctor has given me, to include some of the strongest meds available to help with this.  I know it won't ever go away but isn't there something I can do to keep it from flaring up all the time?

Hello I am in the same boat.Hi Debbie my name is Anne.I suffer from it badly.I have it on my scalp, surrounding areas, and other parts of my body. I am on a cream that is called DOVONEX.If you havent tired it and want to talk to your doctor about it.It can not go on the face and is not for women on birth control. And it has cleared mine to about nothing, besides the more serious spots. It is not red.I hope this is some help to you. Dear loribeth, hello my name is Anne.I also have an oil I use because I have it on my scalp as well.If you would like to talk to your doctor about it,its called Fluocinolone Acetonide Topical solution, you may want to write it down. It works really well and all you do is put it on at night like 2-3 per week, and wash it out the next morning or afternoon.I hope I have helped you out too.
