Almost 10 years ago to the date, I believe I had some sort of stroke. I had lost control of my left arm and leg. I spent 4 days in the hospital on a potassium drip and sent home with numerous meds. The next 10 months my arms were so cold I could hardly stand it; I sat on the couch all the time with a blanket on my arms. One doctor said it was a fluke and would probably never happen again. I can't remember all of the test given but ct comes to mind as well as a lumbar puncture at 11 pm. I am always tired, I feel I have never quite recovered. My left arm still wavers and never hits it's mark the first time. I watched an interview with John Cougar Mellancamp a few years ago, it sounds like he had the same thing going on. What was it and is there anything I can do now to help besides what my currant doctor prescribes, exercise, which I try, I really do. But I am so tired, my heart actually aches from being so tired all of the time. My left arm becomes tired instantly whenever I hold it up to do anything. I have tryed going back to work, but can't get up in the morning, it takes me hours to get motivated. I am on hydrcodone for a back injury 3 years ago and I don't sleep at all, so I take a sleeping pill every night. I turned 53 the 16th of this month and feel I am way to young to give up on life like I have, but I almost feel depressed. I know I am a train wreck, but any ideas? I feel I need to add the tiredness didn't start with the pain med or sleeping pills, these were added later. I also take high bloodpressure med to control migraines the past 3 years. This has brought down the blood pressure as well as eliminated the migraines.
