About Me
I am a definitely a Type A personality. I have been happily married for the past 21 years. I have 2 children a girl 18yrs and a boy 15 yrs, who happens to be a type 1 diabetic since he was 21months old. Once my son was old enought to take care of himself when he got home from school it was my turn to do something for myself. I went back to our community college and got my Office Medical technology associate degree. I got a fulltime job and I loved it untill the horrible illness of Interstitial cystitis got the best of me and had to go out on medical leave. I would love you to educate people on this subject.

The pain meds kicked my butt also. Which is why I was asked to go on medical leave. What kind of questions do you have about botox. I had 3 sets of 30 injections. If I tell you all the details I will scare you to death. It is totally different for everyone. Please just ask away and I will answer with what I had for experience. and my point of view. I just got back from a 4hr ride of having medical test and I need to go laydown and relax. talk later Lynn
Wow,WOW!!!! You are a very strong woman, seems like alot of us are! Bladder removal, that is an option out there for all of us, and a tough decision to make. Considering your circumstances, and extensive horrific level symptoms, I would have done the same. 5.5 years, since my 2nd csection,Carly Sue now 5 is when I got sick, the pain hasn't stopped. Adhesions removal that grew from the csection scar attached to uterus wall, encasing the bladder,etc...thought the adhesion removal would remove the pain....NOT. 9 doctors later, IC and RSD were diagnosed. Having to cath your self like that, what you went through, you are an inspiration, and a help to provide perspective that it could be worse. I can pee on my own. I even had a surgery in November adding a 2nd wire to my spinal cord stimulator that was already implanted for my RSD of my ilioinguinal nerve...my doc said that would take a year to understand the results..the pain from RSD was so much better...but the nagging in the pelvis wasn't....hence IC diagnosed under hyperdistention, which I will never do again..pain afterwards insane. Wow, to read your bladder was so small, so cracked, I am soooo sorry. I can only imagine what led you to that decision, the horrible procedures, surgeries, day to day living that didn't improve you. Positive healing vibes to you in a big way, you deserve it! My father had an ostomy, colostomy done, when I was in 6th grade..now 42, so I know the life of having a bag..ended up not being a big deal at all, onced you got used to it, and once you learn it will bring you relief from those awful symptoms. I'm hoding on for that 2nd wire, like a turbo interstim device to kick in...takes up to a year..already urgency and frequency have decreased alot, but the pain is insane, life controlling, hate the pain meds constant, etc.
feel better Dalymety, you deserve it!!!!!!!!
