About Me

As a Wife, Mom, Clown and EMT, I am an avid viewer of your show and never miss it.  I always come away learning something new and enjoy watching the way you all interact with each other on stage. That personal element helps especially when there are difficult topics to discuss and you certainly discuss them all. Thank YOU!!

I am a wife and Mom of four sons ages 29,27,21,and 14.  My life really started in 1987 when my 27 yr old was 4-1/2 and  developed ALL Leukemia. We were treated at Mem Sloan Kettering in N.Y.C. for 3 years and kept him in remission. During his last treatments he was given gamaglobulin and developed Hep C and Myobacterium avium. He was watched by infectious disease control for a few years and then given the 6 month course of Antibiotics for 6 months. During that time I realized how much the volunteers helped us and I wanted to give that help back to others. So, I became a clown. 21 years later I am still a clown, author articles for clown magazines (yes there are clown magazines). I started doing parties to help during the difficult times of a divorce and have always clowned at nursing homes, hospitals and charitiy events. After my divorce I met  a gentlemen from N.J. who had just lost his wife and daughter in a car accident. This horrific car accident also took the sight of his then 4-1/2 yr. old son, Ben. In 1992, my husband had been visiting his Mom in a nursing home and his wife, daughter(6) and son(4) were suppose to come back and get him, but never did. We married after dating for 6 months and blended my sons, Bobby and Billy with his son, Ben and then added an addition of our own Michael.

It has been a tulmutuous life since 1987 when my son became sick. I took care of my Mom who died of cancer, my dad, a divorce, and learning about blended families and injuries to the brain that alter childrens personalities,But, it has helped me to hone my sense of humor and always try to see the good side of a situation. I am now a N.J.Certified E.M.T. as well as my clown; www.daisyddots.com and teach clowning and entertaining to kids ages 9-18 for free to help them experience the wonderful feeling you get from helping others; www.thesmilefactoryclowns.com.. Now at 54 years of age,EMT is another extension of my caring clowning that I LOVE. Life has not been easy, but I feel so rich with the rewards I have been given from the circumstances I have been through. I love that you all seem to understand how much a positive outlook means to a patient. I have seen it do miracles.

So, keep up the great work. You help many more than you could ever imagine.
