I missed my period by 10days already. There's slimy mucuos with white discharge coming out and I wonder if it is caused by antebiotics I received from the GP.I went to see a GP because I had flu like symptoms, my lungs were blocked and had a dry cough.I feel tired most of the time, especialy weekends. My breasts feel normal, just my waist back is a bit painful (at times).I dont have apetite but crave delicious food.when i eat, i dont feel im full.I feel like my tummy is swollen, like its is sooo big. Please give me some light

IMO, it didn't seem like you needed antibiotics...a dry cough and blocked lungs seems like allergies, asthma, or a cold virus, in which antibiotics are useless and can even be harmful! IT IS HARMFUL TO TAKE ANTIBIOTICS when the body doesn't need them. Even a wet cough with greenish yellow mucus may not require antibiotics. I recently had a cold where the worst two days I was coughing up greenish yellow mucus. By the third day, the color was becoming whiter, so I knew my cold was on the mend. Zero antibiotics required.
It can be 4 things or a combination of them.
One, you are pregnant...so maybe get a OTC prenancy test if you can, unless you feel it's better done at your doctor's office.
Two, the antibiotics caused an imbalance with your "friendly" bacteria--basically killing them all--and is causing discharge (minor infection due to no friendly bacteria in your body).
Three, you can just be having normal discharge that happens during our different times of the cycle...the discharge you described can be completely normal.
And four, you can bloated from many different causes...certain foods, too much sugarless gum, excess salt from foods, etc.
Sometimes bloating for extended periods of time can be something serious, so perhaps a visit to your doc is needed if it continues...just don't accept antibiotics unless your doctor does a test for bacteria and it comes back positive...that's the only time you may need antibiotics. FYI, if I have a minor bacterial infection, I may not even take antibiotics. It will clear up on its own like a viral infection.
I agree; I'd go to the DR to get checked out, make sure it isn't something serious.
Melissa.
Thanx greenfish for you comment. i did home preg test 3times already which tested negative.Bloated maybe but i have been eating bran flakes and muesli and go do number 2 for about 4 times a day. each time i eat, it needs me to offload after.yesterday i went to the doctor and he told me that i was constipated coz i had abdominal pain. How can I be constipated when even my stools are soft and normal? i just dont understand. doctor gave me 2 injections and i went to toilet once after that.In a day i would drink up to 2.5litres of water. is that not enough as well?
another challenge is that when i pee, i get abdominal pain still and feels like I am pressing on it.are the doctors not doing thorough checks? i just dont understand
Have you been checked for a bladder infection or diabetes? It sounds like what happens to me when the IBS acts up. I get gassy and bloated, and it is so uncomfortable. I take Linzess for it. Have you seen a gastroenterologist?
Melissa.
I have been checked for diabetes and do not have. i was thinking maybe kidney infection but it is not. bladder I dont know but it was not mentioned.another thing, though I am not showing much signs like my last pregnancies, but I note weird things happening to my body.It is hot here 28 degrees hot.normally i dnt sweat unless Im exercising. but now for the first time in my life sweat is pouring out like nobody's business.
I made app with my OB/GYN anyway to get checked
Definitely get it checked out...as far as constipation, bathroom visits, and water...you CAN get constipated from eating too much fiber and not enough water...it gets stuck up in there, the fiberous "ball" if you will, and can cause abdominal pain...2.5 liters...that's about 10.5 cups...that does seem like enough, but I also eat a lot of fiber and I drink 11-13 cups of liquid per day. Four times a day to do no.2 does seem like a lot though, I usually go 1-3 times per day...my husband seems to think that 3 times a day is too much, but I tell him I'm vegan, that's what happens, I eat nothing but fiber! (Fruit, veggies, quinoa, beans, nuts...)
Another thing I noticed from your post...you seem to be getting most of your fiber through wheat gluten. I gave up gluten years ago, plus dairy, and my bloating has gone away completely. A sensitivity/intolerance/allergy to gluten can also cause abdominal pain. In fact, your doctor can check for celiac disease, which is an allergy to gluten. But there is no real test for gluten intolerance. I never got tested for celiac disease, but after I eliminated gluten from my diet, I just instantly felt better, I didn't think a test was necessary. I figured I had a gluten intolerance.
It might be something to look into, talk with your doctor, and see if any tests are necessary, or if you just want to eliminate gluten and see what happens. There are a lot of great gluten free breads, you can replace also with brown rice, quinoa, etc.
Thanx GreenFish. you offering lot of guidance. what can consist of gluten? When i read the nutritional pack for the food I normally put my focus on the fat side of it and dont look at other things. yes i eat brown rice and my cereals are either Nutrific,All Bran flakes,Corn Flakes or Granola muesli which all i take with either fat free milk or fat free yoghurt.
You're welcome! Now just to preempt, you may not have a gluten intolerance/allergy, but you never know until you eliminate it and see how you feel, if your abdominal pain goes away, if your bloating goes away, other symptoms go away, etc. If there are no positive changes to how you feel after, say, a month, then you don't have a gluten intolerance/allergy...you may then want to eliminate dairy products and see if you feel any positive changes; again, if you feel the same and don't feel better, then you don't have an intolerance to dairy. But you never know unless you try!
With that said, gluten is in every cereal you eat! Not sure of the brand of muesli, but most contain wheat germ (gluten). Kellogg's Corn Flakes contains malt flavor--malt is made from barley (gluten). Nutrific contains whole wheat (gluten). And All Bran contains wheat bran (gluten) and malt flavor (gluten). A breakfast cereal would have to say "gluten-free" on its packaging to be truly gluten-free.
Here are some sites that go into more detail of what is gluten free and what isn't:

Also, you can do further research to see what other things gluten-free people have for breakfast, etc, by checking out different sites on the internet...I don't know any particular ones...good luck!
