STD

I was recently told by my GYN that I have an STD called Trichomoniasis.  I am absolutely positive that I have never had a sexual partner other than my husband of 25 years.  He claims that he has never been with anyone else.  If that is true for both of us, how can I have this STD?  Is there any other way to get it?  Someone told me that on rare occasions you can get it from a hottub or jacuzzi.  They also said that it can remain dormant for years before becoming an active infection.  I don't know what to believe.

Listen, I am no expert in any field.  What I gleaned from reading info on the 'net, is that this is a sexually transmitted disease and that symptoms show up between one and four weeks after contracting it.  There is a medicine you can take called, METRONIDAZOLE.  It comes in two forms, but apparrently the oral form works more than twice as well as the gel.  Speak to your dr., your spiritual counselor, your best friend, your husband.  You need guidance.  I wish you well. As far as I know (this is going back several years in class) Symptoms appear within 5-28 days of exposure. It can be dormant for many years in women and then out of nowhere rear its ugly little head.  I have also been told that it can be transmitted not only through sexual intercourse, but also through sharing bathing suits, washcloths, wet towels, and hot tubs....so you are correct there as well.
