About Me

I am 59 years old and soon to be 60 in April.  I am also a breast cancer survivor since 1981.  I have had 2 seperate radiation thearpy's and seven (7) different chemo thearpy's.  Every day is precious to me.  I live with my brother and father and we take care of each other.  My style is comfortable and right now my head sports a beanie most of the time as my hair has not fully grown in, so the head and ears get cold.  I love that I am still alive and I do a big celebration every 10 years and in 2009 it will be another 10 years since I had a big celebration.  Our little family is really money tight, so I have not had the money to purchase something for any friends.  But I love them anyway and they love me.

I will be having surgery on Jan 8th to remove two cancer leasons on my right shoulder.  I am hoping that the removal of those two leasons will mean I will have a break from chemo.  I would like to have a head of hair for awhile, I don't remember what I look like with hair.......HA!  I am tired of being like a large, fat bald headed person with breasts..........again HA!

I do have a sense of humor about having cancer, as what else can I do.  I think that my positive attitude and my sense of humor has gotten me this many years and it will get me many more.
