I am recently retired, a full year now.  I relocated from Arkansas to Georgia to be near my 2 grandkids.  I have 3 kids, daughter 40, son 38, and son 13.  I am very happy and less stressed since I retired.  Oh yeah, I am single and have been for about 20 years.  I volunteer at the local library a couple of hours a week, and work 7-8 hours a week at a medical clinic.  My 13 year old son has been diagnosed with Asbergers about 5 years ago so I decided I needed to retire so I could better take care of him.  He has been my biggest challenge in all my years.  We have 3 dogs, (2 beagles, 1 lab/mastiff mix) and they have been a big help with my young son.  That just about sums up my current status and life.  I am very independent and have made my way through life on my own ( most of it anyway).
