I am a retired Lock & dam supervisor.  I was the first female to hold that position in the Lower Mississippi Valley of the US Army Corps of Engineers.  I worked my way up the ladder starting as a clerk, working every position there is at a lock to become a supervisor. 

I am 56 years old, married for 37 years, with two daughters and three grandchildren.  I feel my marriage is unique because my husband and I met at a birthday party.  We went out twice during the 10 days we knew each other and got married on the way to the airport for him to go back to Viet Nam for his second tour.  We were married twenty-four hours when he left and returned six months later.  Our marriage has had a lot of trials but we are still together.  The saying "love at first sight" does happen and not just in the movies.

I am a "jack of all trades and a master of none".  I prepare taxes, am a notary, bookkeeper, can weld, plumbing, carpentery, electrical, read blueprints and just about anything else I put my mind to.

I had lapband surgery in September 2006 and have lost over 100 pounds but plan to lose more.
