I am unsure about the turnaround time on the bloodwork. I could have had it done right across the street the same day after my first appointment but my insurance company did not use the Labcorp Labs anymore so I just came back to the Akron area and had it done at Quest Diagnostics. Also, I was going on vacation around the time they were to schedule my follow-up appointment for the pellet implant so I may have been able to get it done sooner than the 2 weeks. It seems that when I now have my labs done locally my doctor's office (that is 3 hours away) relays the results to me in about a week.  Maybe if you ask the doctor about it & explain your situation they may be able to put a rush on the labwork.  If you can get them to work with you on it you will never regret it.  A 3-hour drive for me seems like a piece of cake since I know what the end result will be. I really hope that you can get something worked-out. It is certainly a wonderful thing.  If there are any other questions you have I would be happy to try and help.
