About Me

I'm 62, female, and retired after working for 30 years for the Postal Service.  I'm in very good health, according to my doctors who expect me to live a l-o-n-g time.

I'm about 10 pounds overweight at present, but I'm eating healthier and expect to be (soon) within normal range for a female who is barely 5" tall.  Osteoarthritis is the only health problem I seem to have.

I tested for my black belt in Tae-kwon-do just before turning 50 years old.  But I'm not always as active now as I should be - especially in Winter.  However, when the weather permits, I love getting outside to paint.  I began art about 9 years ago and now paint and sell my paintings online and at local art fairs.

Painting landscapes is my delight.  Peoples come and go...but the land remains.  I love to think that once the Native Americans lived on the land...we're here now...who knows what will happen later.  But the land remains.  Man builds structures, they're here...then gone.  But the land remains.

I have lots of acquaintances, but just a handful of true friends.  They are more precious than gold.

I've been married to the same guy since 1964.  We have a daughter.  She's our delight.  She has a daughter...our only grandchild...who is also our delight.

It's the simple things in life that I cherish.  Lunch with my husband.  Meeting a friend for a chat.  Reading a book with a cat sleeping on my lap.  Those things are so often overlooked, but are priceless to me.
