About Me

My style? Forward. Eyes open. Standing tall.  Last thing I  purchased as a gift was trees to be planted in burned out forests. What I love about life is being with family, like pillow fighting with my grandchildren (see pix, I am in yellow) and the unbelievable variety of options of living as fully as possible. So I changed occupation every 10 years, went back to school every few years, finished @ UCDavis & obtained Masters @ Western Michigan University,  to prove to my sons one can always change, adapt & make the best of what you cannot control. Like the economy. So I've worked as a respiratory therapist, river guide, administrative manager  for international firm, admin assist for property assessors, housekeeper, teacher for 1st generation/ underacheiving entering freshmen, English second language to graduate students, camp counselor, lifeguard & boating instructor. O yes, I am old: 64, Now I am an acute myleiod leukemia survivor & 5-yr allogenic stem cell transplant survivor. I work very hard in this, my most challenging role for the last 8+ yrs, my second life. Because I have died, reincarnated with my sister's cells, and been blessed to just keep rolling. So I owe big to stay healthy, bloom where I am, to honor the medical miracle given by the staff of the Fred Hutchison, UW Hospital and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance especially Stephen Petersdord MD. I cannot let them down. So I  appreciate your program because it aids me in forward movement. Thank you
