I'm a 58-year-old Caucasian male, born in Nova Scotia (Canada) and living in Montreal for 36 years now.  I was formerly super-obese (410 lb!), until I had gastric bypass surgery in September, 2002, and I'm now happier and healthier than since I was a teenager!  I no longer have either diabetes or high blood pressure, as they were both totally weight-related, and I now weigh 212 lb.  I'm also engaged to be married (for the first time!) this September.  Life is good again!
