You might think you know what your little furry friend is trying to tell you, but The Doctors have new advice on the signals your dog could be sending you.

Animal behaviorist Dr. Jill Goldman joins the panel to help decode some of your dog’s common body signals, because you might be misinterpreting some of things they are trying to communicate.

  • It does not always mean your pet is tired
  • Excessive or consistent yawning could be sign your dog is nervous or stressed
  • Licking of lips could also be an indicator of nervousness or stress

Dr. Goldman notes that when dogs are brought into the veterinarian clinic and they are nervous, they will often “lip lick, pant and yawn.”
