Engaged Couples Compete to Be Smaller at the Altar

They’ve set the date … now, it’s time to lose the weight! In The Doctors’ Smaller at the Altar competition, three newly engaged couples — Becky and Nick, Stacy and Thomas, and Lynsi and Cody — will vie for the chance to win the wedding of their dreams, along with an all-expenses-paid honeymoon at the Wadigi Island Resort in Fiji!

Assisting the couples on their weight loss journeys is The Doctors’ Wedding Dream Team: celebrity nutritionist Christine Avanti, top personal trainers from Gold’s Gym and A-list event planner Kevin Lee. Christine and Gold’s Gym personal trainer RC Hahn share the game plan to help the couples reach their wedding weight loss goals.

Throughout the competition, the couples will face off in a series of challenges to secure various prizes for their big days.

Challenge No. 1: Cake or Break
For a chance to win a world-class wedding cake from Hansen’s Cakes, the ladies duke it out in a show of strength. See which bride-to-be can hold a heavy, three-tiered cake above her head for the longest time!

Challenge No. 2: Fiancé Face-off
The men answer questions to prove which one knows their partner the best for a chance to win wedding ring bling from SuperJeweler.com.

Challenge No. 3: Kissing and Cooking Challenge
The couples have 30 minutes to cook a healthy meal that will be judged on nutritional value, taste and presentation. The winning team receives catering for their wedding rehearsal dinner.

Final Challenge: Bouquet Toss Bonanza
For a chance to get gorgeous wedding floral arrangements from Flower Shower, the couples compete in a bouquet toss bonanza! Plus, see the final weigh-ins to find out which lovebirds win a fabulous honeymoon in Fiji!
