The Doctors is all fun and games when the set transforms into an interactive, over-the-top game show about your health! Quirky quizzes reveal how many calories are really in your favorite meal, the number one trick to healthier skin and more!
“Educators say that games help your brain retain information,” E.R. physician Dr. Travis Stork says. “So today, we’re going to get our game on!”
Guess That Calorie Count
Contestants Beth, Alex and Stefanie take their best guesses at how many calories are in one of America’s favorite meals: A double cheeseburger with a side of spicy chili fries and a chocolate milkshake. Sounds delicious, but is it really worth the calories?
“There’s enough calories in this meal to satisfy what is recommended for women in just one day,” Dr. Travis says.
In the Hot Seat
Audience member Beth and OB/GYN Dr. Lisa Masterson go back-to-back in a static squat contest.
“In 30 to 40 seconds they’re going to feel a massive burn!” Dr. Travis says.
Does feeling the fire in your muscles mean you’re pushing yourself too hard? Find out. And, see who succumbs to the burn first!
The New Dad Diaper Duel
Diaper duty can be a challenge for first-time dads. Moms-to-be Joelle and Lindsey cheer on their men, Nick and Todd, as they duke it out in The New Dad Diaper Duel. It’s a game of speed and accuracy: See who can change their baby the fastest and with the least mistakes! Plus, pediatrician Dr. Jim Sears’ diaper dos and don’ts.
Nasty Nibbles Buffet
Why do some good-for-you foods taste so bad? Find out as twin sisters Alison and Kristin slurp, chew and nibble away at The Nasty Nibbles Buffet!
• Dr. Travis tries natto, fermented soy beans.
The Sugar Showdown
“You’d never drink a glass full of sugar but that’s pretty much what you’re doing when drinking certain cocktails,” Dr. Travis says.
Dr. Lisa and Dr. Travis challenge Carlie to The Sugar Showdown. Between a cosmopolitan, mojito, mai tai and gin and tonic, can she guess which cocktail has the most sugar?
