Plastic surgeon Dr. Drew Ordon shares tips from his new book, Better in 7, published by The Doctors’ executive producer, Jay McGraw. Let the number 7 change your life!

“It’s a self-improvement guide of things you can do without going under the knife,” Dr. Ordon says. “I’m a plastic surgeon but I’m a doctor first, and while I believe in plastic surgery, it’s not for everybody.

“When you think about it, little steps can lead to big results," Dr. Ordon adds. "Are [my tips] based on hard science? No. It's anectodal with a lot of great ways to look better, but ultimately they’re based on diet, exercise and natural remedies that will benefit your health in the long run. If you live well and live right, you’re going to look better, too."

7 Problems, 7 Solutions
Dr. Ordon shares seven solutions to seven of your biggest body problems.

1. Dark Circles
“When you’re tired and busy like me, your eyes can lose their allure,” Dr. Ordon says. “To keep my eyes fresh, I use cool, natural compresses: caffeinated tea bags and cucumbers.”

See how caffeine and cucumbers revitalize your eyes.

2. Thighs 3. Tummy
Sydney says she dreams of thin, sexy thighs and a flat tummy and asks Dr. Ordon how she can feel confident in her swimsuit this summer.

“We know that estrogen has a direct effect on fat and puts it in those places where women don’t want it,” Dr. Ordon says. “But new research suggests that this effect can be reduced by changing your diet.”

6. Décolletage
The skin on the décolletage is one of the first places age shows, as it doesn’t have many oil glands, which can make it dry. It also has less elasticity and thinner skin tissue than the skin on your face.

Roy’s New Nose
Roy, a crew member on The Doctors, has wanted to fix his nose for years.

“I had an addiction to alcohol and drugs,” Roy says. “I lost the tip of my nose acting really stupid in a drunken rage and my own dog attacked me. This is when I knew I had a problem.

“I’m [celebrating] 11 years of sobriety this year,” Roy continues. “I’ve worked on myself on the inside but [my nose] is the one glowing factor. I am embarrassed by it.”

Dr. Ordon fixes Roy’s nose so he can feel as confident on the outside as he does on the inside.
