I’m about to turn 30. Am I too young for Botox?
Plastic surgeon Dr. Drew Ordon says that any person with wrinkles is a candidate for Botox, but if there are no wrinkles, your doctor will not know where to inject you.
“The answer is: No wrinkles, no Botox,” he says.
Why does my son sleep like an angel at night, but fight naps during the day?
Pediatrician Dr. Jim Sears says if your baby sleeps through the night, he or she only needs two naps during the day. Be sure that the room is dark, and to set predictable naptimes so your baby can get used to the schedule. If a baby is put down too quickly after feeding, gas may cause him or her to wake up. He also suggests taking your baby for a short car ride to lull him or her to sleep.
I’m beyond frustrated: Every health article says to eat clean and exercise. I do, and I’m still gaining weight. I’m nervous that, if I’m struggling with my weight at 28, what will happen when I’m 40?
Health and wellness expert Jillian Michaels explains that if you’re doing everything right as far as eating healthy foods, counting calories and exercising, but still gaining weight, you may want to visit an endocrinologist to check your thyroid. If that’s not the problem, you may be counting calories incorrectly.
How can I make my man listen?
Doctor of psychology Wendy Walsh, Ph.D. says that men can only listen to one sound at once. "When they watch football [on TV] they can’t hear you," she says.
To obtain your man’s undivided attention, make sure there are no distractions like TV or music.
She also suggests creating a “communication sandwich:” Sandwich an issue you’d like to bring up between two compliments.
Compliment: You’re so helpful around the house.
Issue: But I’ve noticed you’re coming home from work late and I never get to see you.
Compliment: I enjoy spending time with you.
