Question: I a 60 year old woman that never had children. My ordered a pelvic ultrasound to look at my blader. he did not prescribed a transvaginal ultrasound. The clinic said they automatically do both. Is this correct protocol?
I am petite, tigth, dry, not elastic anymore and after the transvaginal ultrasound , I been in severe pain, to the point that I can not sit, nor walk without pain. It has been 2 weeks. When I call my Intern to confir if he order of transvaginal, he said NO. He did not intend a "transvaginal ultrasound".
What is the possible side effect and damage they had done to me? it hurt too much just touching myshel and what can do or use to heal.? I can not do a douch because the tip of the douch hurt like hell.
I would like to know the circumference size of the large size instrument for transvaginal ultrasound. The technician used one with 5-6 poungs with sensor and the end it was not smoth at all. The end was much big than was hyman ring.
What are the differents size of the this instruments used on transvaginal ultrasound?

Have you talked to your DR about the pain you are experiencing? If yes, what did s/he suggest doing for it?
I'm not sure about the protocol where you are; I have been "surprised" and had a transvag ultrasound, but later found out the DR had ordered it.
