Hi my name is Jamie, I am 32yrs old and I was born was born with neurofibromatosis type 1. When I was yunger it really didn't affect my life too much. But now it seems to be causing more problems. I found out late last year that I have tumors growing on the nerve roots in my spine in the lumbar area. Some days just sitting or standing for a few mintutes is a chore. I get tingling in mostly my fingers and I have problems with my right knee so I wear a brace to help keep it steady. Outside of all of my health issues I love to listen to music. My favorite group is The Jets, has been since I was 9 years old. I love to read. Right now I am reading the Vampire Huntress Series by L.A. Banks. She is sooo good. I like to draw, but I haven't done it in a while. I also love watching movies, My favorite is The Notebook ( I'm not big on love stories) , but this one won me over.
