So I still have the abdominal pain, chest pain, joint pain, back pain, and pressure in my head. It has been 224 days since the pains first started and every test I have had has come back normal except for the laparoscopy which showed I have endometriosis which is all quite frustrating. I was trying acupuncture to help with the pain from the endometriosis but it was not working so I stopped, the acupuncturist admitted that he was unable to help me reduce the pain and said that I should try some other things. I was really hoping that it would work but I guess I will just have to keep trying other things and go back and try in later on. After each treatment I would only be pain free for 1 1/2 to 2 hours which was not the results that the acupuncturist was hoping for.
In the past 7 months I have been on alesse, CO Ciprofloxacin 500MG twice (2 spererate weeks in different months for a possible infection that the doctors thought I had, APO PEN VK 300MG for strep throat, Novo Naprox Sodium DS 550MG for the pain which did not work at all, APO DICLO SR 75MG for 2 1/2 weeks which also did not work for helping the pain, NOVO Keteropac 10MG which also did not work, Tramacet 37.5MG/325MG which i had to stop taking because I was having a reaction to it, and Percocet (which I was given after the surgery to help with the pain), but it did nothing and I had a reaction to that as well. I am now no longer on the alesse because my doctor switched me over to Marvelon hoping it would help better, and I am also on Arthrotec 75MG/200 which so far is doing nothing ( I have been on it for a week so far), along with a Bricanyl Turbuhaler 0.5MG and a Pulmicort Turbuhaler 200MCG whcih I have been using for several years to help with my asthma.
I went to the doctors last week for a follow up and I told her that I am still in quite a bit of pain and that I have still been having nose bleeds everyday for about the past 2 months (about 2 or 3 a day), so she decided to sent me for some more blood tests, another urine test, and an EKG because of the chest pain I have been having, and put me on the Arthrotec hoping it would help. And of course the test came back NORMAL like all the other ones have. I also told her that I had been trying to get in to see my new cardiologist to try to see if she could find out what was causing my chest pain but the person at the front desk said that I should just go an see my family doctor and shound not see the cardiologist. The problem is that my doctor has already looked into what could be causing the chest pain and could not find anything. (I have been having the chest pain since the surgery back on November 23rd) which they thought was caused from the gas that they use to inflate you during the surgery and that it would go away, which it didn't. Im just hoping that it is nothing serious because I have 2 hole in my heart (ASD and VSD) and do not want to have to worry about something going wrong, and am wondering if I could have an infection from the surgery but I really have no clue. So my doctor said that she would try to get a hold of the cardiologist and would try to get me in for an appointment but Im doubting I will ever get in for one. She also said that she finally got me an appointment with a new GYN because the one I had and who did my surgery I really did not like because she ignored all of the questions I had and said that my only treatment options for the endometriosis was to get these hormone shots or to get a hysterectomy both of which I do not want to do, so we are hoping that she will be able to help with the endometriosis and will be able to give me more treatment option. ( the appointment was originally booked for June 23rd but because they also put me on a waithing list they managed to get the appointment moved up to March 31st).
I am pretty much still in the same amount of pain as I was before the surgery which I don't understand because I was told that I would be in no pain and that I would be able to get back to my normal life but that was not the case. I am starting to wonder if the GYN removed all of the endometriosis and if she missed anythiing else which could have been important to what is causing the pain. And I am hoping that I will not need to go in for another surgery to look for the endometriosis because it has only been 3 months since the first surgery and my I did not have a good experience during the first one.
It is all just really frustrating because I have had to stop doing the things that I love to do and have had to put school on hold for now. And every test has come back normal, the countless blood tesst, urine tests, pelvic exam, pap smear, ultrasounds, upper GI and FT, 3 sets of abdominal x-rays, the chest x-ray, EKG, head CT, pelvic and abdominal CT, and the x-rays for my knee, the only thing that showed anything was the lapraoscopy. And I am still having the chest pain, abdominal pain, pressure in my head, joint pain, back pain, nose bleeds, and I keep bruising easily. You would think that something would show up in at least one of the tests but for some reason everything always comes back normal. The only thing that I have found out in the past 7 months is that I have endomestiois and I have and allergy to codeine.
I don't know what I going to do now, I am runnig out of opitions and I think my doctor is running out of ideas for what could be causing all of my symptoms. I guess I will just have to keep looking for what is causing the symotoms or will just have to wait for them to either go a way on their own or for them to get worse.

Wow, so sorry to hear of your health issues, how terrible for you!! Have you looked into allergies at all? I'm wondering if all of the tests are coming back normal....what about something like toxic mold exposure at work or in your home? Chemical exposures. Chemical sensitivities, fibromyalgia, I'm sure your Gastrointestinal system is a mess from all the antibiotics and meds! Sure hope you have some sort of support and someone to talk to.....may help to speak to a counsellor, psychologist, psychiatrist so you can at least vent about your concerns and they may possibly have techniques to teach you to cope with the constant pain??
Hang in there!
Thank you. So far I have not really been tested for any allergies the only things they have really tested me for is celiac disease, crohn's, lyme disease, and lupus from what I know. And I was told my GI tract was fine after I had the upper GI and FT (or small bowel) done, but things could have changed.
