A few weeks ago, I was on my way to Connecticut with my family. My younger brother decided to ride in my uncle's car, leaving me with my parents for the whole 3 hour long trip from NY.
When we finally got to Connecticut, we were going to check into our hotel, but things didn't go as planned. We decided to get a bite to eat before heading back to see if we could get our hotel room at last.
We ete our lunch and within an hour, we were on our way back to the hotel hoping to get some rest. My uncle pulled out of the parking lot first, and my father followed suit. As soon as we made it onto the main road I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I knew that something was coming.
Without any warning whatsoever, a car plowed into the back of where I was sitting. My glasses flew off and I was hurting all over. I was in shock and couldn't remember what happened for a minute or two. The guy that hit us was drunk and he hit us so hard, without wearing a seatbelt, that he got a concussion because his head cracked the windshield.
The rest of the day was uneventful. I ended up in a hospital room with a hot doctor and an annoying neck brace. I stood overnight because they were worried about my neck pains connected to possible whiplash. After that, I was on pain meds and out of the hospital in no time.
When I get into a car now, I can't help but be extra cautious to my surroundings. I will be driving in two years when I'm 16 and I can't help but be a bit afraid of the people out there. This memory will never fade from my mind...

In 2007 I was in a car accident. I was driving had a green light and a women either had a green light but to yield to oncoming traffice or she ran a red light it was never determined. It was raining I was going 40 and when I say her I breaked and ran right into her car. if i would have swerved I could have hit a cement wall and probably wouldnt be here today because I wasnt wearing the lap belt part of the seat belt. Anyways that my story, still to this day I am paranoid and its been almost 2 years. I rather drive and be in control instead of driving with someone. Im very cautious but I think thats ok because there are stupid drivers out there. Anyways I hope this story helped. Im 23. I didnt get my license until I was 19 because I was afraid to drive but as long as you follow the law you should be good. GOOD LUCK!
