I just ordered the book and can hardly wait for it to arrive.
I have had weight issues most of my life. I lose the weight and then it seems to find it's way back to me.
If you have any suggestions on what to do while waiting for the book, please let me know.
I have a lot of weight to lose, and I am so excited that this plan will be the one to work for me!
Sure would like to see an E-book of the 17 day diet...once you purchased the book, you would have it on your computer or kindle or other E-Reader.

Start cutting out your carbs..that is a hard one to do. and drinking more water and get up and move!
Thanks for the info AIMIGE. Carbs come in many forms...starches and veggies and fruits...
Do we cut them all out or just the starchy ones?
After watching Dr. Phil today, there was a comment made about fruits having too much sugar...such as watermelon, cantaloupe, bananas, pineapple, etc. Are we to avoid ALL fruits?
I know from past dieting that processed starches should be avoided at all cost (some veggies, breads, pastas, cakes, etc.). I assume that still holds true with this plan.
Sure wish the 17 day diet would authorize another secure site for those waiting for their book/DVD. This site could give us the guidelines, foodlist, and how and when to eat for week 1 - 4 to keep us motivated and on track. We could use our username/password from here along with the order number from our receipt. That would help out a lot.
My suggestion is to cut out all soda and alcohol and try to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. Someone once told me that if you drink a glass of water before meal time, it will help you eat less. I am starting this diet too once the book shows up. I previously lost 60 pounds by eating small healthy meals (5-6 tiny meals a day...healthy food choices), exercising (a lot) and drinking tons of water. I limited myself to one soda a day (I am a diet coke fanatic). It took about 5-6 months to lose the weight, but I did it. Unfortunately, I gained 80 back over the next 2 years when I took a VERY stressful, unrewarding job. The job is history, and hopefully soon the weight will be too. I started my old regiment on Jan 1st and have lost a couple pounds already. Good luck and know that you can do it if I did!!! I'd be glad to be a weight loss buddy with you if you'd like.

Clean out our refrig, cabinets,anywhere you have food that's not on the plan, I gave away problem foods for me and the program is working great!! Good luck
i know how you feel. i have 100 lbs to lose so i ordered the book 12/4 and it finally arrived 12/23. After hearing about it I wanted to start ASAP but i decided to read the entire book and get everything i needed to start on 1/1. this morning i was down 6.5 pounds and dont have any cravings or hunger. The only thing I can say is finish up the bread and milk before your book arrives cause you don't get them for awhile. It is 8 glasses of water, lots of nonstarchy veggies and lean meat with 2 fruits a day (no bananas or pioneapple or watermelon - too high in sugar).
So finish up or get rid of things you won't be having for awhile and don't worry you wont miss 'em. i certainly dont miss the 6.5 pounds:}

The diet starts your day with a cup of hot water flavored with lemon juice. Also you are to drink a cup of green tea with breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can have some fruits, but only two servings daily and they are to be eaten before 2PM. You also need to eat 2 6oz servings of yogurt daily. I started this on Monday and in two days I have lost 7 lbs.

I feel like a little kid waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve not knowing when he will show up...I don't know when my book will show up, but I sure hope it is soon.
The first 17 days of the diet do not include starches such as breads, starchy vegies and high sugar fruits! Drink 8 - 8oz glasses of water a day. If you drink coffee or tea with caffeine that does not count towards the 64 ounces. Some of the fruits suggested are apples, grapes, berries, grapefruit. Keep in touch!

Just for today, I will read all the helpful hints here on this site, choose not to eat sweets and drink more water.
