Wow, I read your story and believe me I understand and feel your pain. I use to do all kinds of activities and at the age of 18 I was a very active adult. I was a full-time student, a wonderful house wife-girlfriend, I also had a part-time job in Orlando, Florida, travel back and forth to Jacksonville every weeked to raise my godson and I had my own place and have my 5-speed graduation gift vehicle. Now I had to switch to a automatic car, I had to move in with my parents back in Jacksonville because living by myself wasn't safe anymore (too many falling, anxiety attacks, etc), I lost my job and haven't been employed since 2004, applying for social security but continuously getting denied, trying to borrow $200 every month to pay for medications, having med bills racking up, stugglin to not be depressed bacause of how my life has changed and the situation that I'm in.? How long have you had fibro? I've had it for 5 yrs now. Have you tried to take your husband and your daughter to your doctors appointments? I had and still have this problem with my family about them not understanding how complicated and how hard it is to deal and treat this disease. When I had my mother come to a rheumatologist appt and I allowed her to ask questions and he explained the complications, the importance of constant support both mentally and pysically and about the condition in general. Are you seeing a rheumatologist or any other kinds of specialists? What meds have you tried? or are you on? And do you have any additional illnesses besides fibro?
